On September 27th, 2024, the opening ceremony of the "Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Fitter, and Miller" municipal finals of the Gansu Province Million Employee Labor and Skills Competition and the 7th Tianshui Vocational Skills Games was held at Gansu Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Mao Qiao, the second level inspector of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, Shen Junming, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Zhang Xingjun, deputy mayor, Ma Xiaoning, vice chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Liu Jing, editor in chief of the Gansu Workers' Daily, and Liu Naijun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Gansu Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College, led the opening ceremony. Jiang Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Gansu Xinghuo Intelligent CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd., led the company's contestants to participate in the event.

It is reported that this competition is hosted by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and Municipal Government State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and organized by Gansu Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The competition lasts for two days and consists of two parts: theoretical knowledge competition and operational skills competition. 42 contestants from Gansu Xinghuo competed and exchanged ideas with more than 150 contestants from 14 companies in projects such as fitters, electricians, welders, and machinists in the city.

On the first day of the competition, the contestants of Gansu Xinghuo Company demonstrated the good spirit of the company's employees with a positive, full, and enthusiastic attitude on the field. They adhered to the principle of "fair competition, civilized participation, and active competition", and demonstrated the spirit of Xinghuo people who are "hardworking, innovative, and boundless".
